This Privacy Policy describes how Macrova ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, retains, and discloses information when you use the Macrova mobile application ("the App"). By using Macrova, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve Macrova.

Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive basic account information such as your email address, name, profile photo, and Google account identifier through Supabase authentication. Macrova does not collect or store a password for Google sign-in.

Health & Nutrition Data
We collect information you provide, such as food logs, meal details, weight, height, activity level, dietary preferences, workout preferences, health-related goals, and nutritional targets, to calculate your macro intake and personalize your experience.

Meal Photos & AI Inputs
If you use food photo scanning or AI nutrition features, the meal photo or food description you submit may be sent to our AI processing service through our secure Supabase backend so nutrition estimates can be generated.

Subscription Information
We may receive limited purchase status, product identifiers, subscription state, and trial eligibility from Google Play to unlock paid features and manage access. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Usage Data
We collect data on how you interact with the App to improve user experience, troubleshoot issues, and protect the App from abuse.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Macrova.
  • Calculate and display your nutritional progress.
  • Personalize AI nutrition, food logging, and workout plan features.
  • Manage subscriptions and enforce daily AI usage limits.
  • Communicate with you regarding your account or updates to the App.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including authentication controls and Row Level Security (RLS) in our database.

Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when required by law or when needed to provide the services you request — such as authentication, cloud storage, subscription management, and AI-powered nutrition analysis.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information within the App settings. You can also contact us at macrovatracker@gmail.com for help with any privacy requests.

Data Retention

We retain your account information, profile details, food logs, nutrition targets, workout preferences, subscription access records, AI usage quota records, and related app data for as long as your Macrova account remains active or as needed to provide the features you use.

When you delete your account in the App or request deletion by email, we delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account within 7 business days, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Meal photos submitted for AI analysis are used to generate nutrition estimates and are not intended to be kept as permanent profile data after processing unless you explicitly save the resulting food log. Backup, security, and system logs may remain for a limited period before automatic deletion.

Data Deletion

If you would like to request deletion of your Macrova account and all associated data, you can do so through either of the following methods:

Delete in-app

Navigate to Settings › Account › Delete Account to permanently delete your data and account directly within the App.

Request via email

If you are unable to access the App, send an email to macrovatracker@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email associated with your account. We will confirm deletion within 7 business days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and make the revised policy available in the App and at the privacy policy URL provided in the Google Play Console.
